Pros

One of the other great features of these 3-wheel mobility scooters is that there is no fiddling with wires to connect the battery as it is drop-in. This scooter is sturdy, lightweight and also has a decent-sized front basket which makes it ideal for a quick visit to the store. It offers great turning capability and a nice ride on smooth surfaces. One can also add a lot of extras to the scooter although they come at an price. Some of these extras include a mini scooter cover, rear basket, cup holders, a lap belt and safety flag. The scooter also comes with a 1 year In-Home Parts & Service Warranty which can be extended up to 2 or 3 years for and additional fee. This is an amazing little scooter and at this price point you will be hard pressed to find something better.

 Cons

Being a 3 wheel scooter it does however suffer a little bit when compared to the more stable 4 wheel mobility scooters available. Also this scooter won’t perform well off-road, but then again it wasn’t design to do so. If you stick to smooth outdoor surfaces or stay indoors then this scooter is definitely a great product.

AmeriGlide 111TS Travel Scooter

The second offering form AmeriGlide is the awesome little 111TS travel scooter model which comes in at a mere 84 pounds when fully assembled, yet has a weight capacity of 250 pounds. It also breaks down very easily into three parts for transportation and has a great price to boot.

Once again this scooter excels as a light weight mobility aid. This scooter was designed to be easily transportable and to offer a great ride on smooth outdoor surfaces and indoors. Being small, compact and having 3 wheel drive really does make this scooter the perfect indoor scooter. It will be able to navigate tight nooks and crannies better than most other options.  When it comes to price this might very well be one of the cheapest mobility scooters on the market. But being an AmeriGlide model you can rest assured knowing that you get value for your money. The scooter can be enhanced with a mini scooter cover and in-car battery charger as extras.

Just like its bigger brother it will be inferior in stability when compared to the 4 wheel models out there, but having said that for indoor use this scooter really shines. Rough outdoor surfaces could pose a problem, but once again that is not what this scooter was intended for. The scooter warranty offered unfortunately isn’t that great being 90 days on parts and 6 months on the battery, but at the scooter’s price that does seem to be a fair trade off. If you can afford a bit more then perhaps the bigger AmeriGlide Traveler might be a better option. That said at the cheaper price point this model does offer great value for money.
